Sockbellies are cute and cuddly critters carefully crafted from (brand new) socks! 100% handsewn giving each one its own unique character and personality right down to their little round tummies and adorable belly buttons.
During this informal workshop, Judith Hart will introduce you to the wonderful world of sock sculpture and by the end of the 3 hour session you will have learned the basic skills required to create your very own sock owl or even try a more advanced critter. Full written instructions and all necessary materials will be provided. (Basic sewing skills an advantage...reading specs a neccessity if you use them!)

RAG RUG WORKSHOP
WITH VICTORIA GOULDEN

plus £10 for a generous start up kit of materials
Come and learn the art of Rag Rug making with Victoria , an experienced tutor and maker of some 15 years.
Craft a placemat or seatpad or beautify a hessian shopping bag with a burst of colour and simple design.
Materials will be available to buy at low cost on the day, plus a small donation towards cloth scraps provided, but please do bring along any retired sweaters, Tshirts...anything relatively lightweight; lambswool or fleece are ideal...remember, it's all about the colour!
The kit includes a hessian shopper, a square of hessian, a hook and a marker pen.

contemporary designs as well as the more traditional items.

Come to Meg's workshop to learn lots of yarn related tips and tricks, from casting on to triple chains you can get hooked in no time and get those needles clicking!

A choice of a morning or afternoon session where you will learn how to make beautiful flower details by using the wet felting process. These will be transformed into brooches, hat pins or other accents.

Join me for an introductory session. We will learn basic stitches and apply them to a pre-gathered kit (no hand gathered smocking dots!)
The choice of kits for you to purchase include:

will also have pre-gathered material if you just want to practice the
stitches for application to your own projects later. (These will be
free of charge but please bring some embroidery thread with you.)

We'll be making brooches and pins, and you can get fruity too!"
Make
your own beautiful needlefelt brooches and pins, the perfect accessory
or gift. Learn the craft of Needlefelting, a dry method of felting wool
fibres using just a barbed needle, no stitches, no patterns, no
complicated charts!
All materials and equipment , fleece, felting needles, foam, beads, brooch backs etc supplied for £10.00.
Sewing needles, threads, use of glue gun provided.
